About Underpolaris cattery

Hello, fellow cat aficionados! 

My name is Alexandra. Welcome to my Siberian cattery, Underpolaris!   

I have been breeding cats for over 25 years. Underpolaris is a small cattery where kittens are raised exclusively in a home environment. Being a small cattery, I produce only one or two litters at a given time. That undeniably contributes to proper socialization of each individual kitten.  The kittens are also introduced to our family dogs since early age, which gives an additional level of socialization in case you have a dog in your household.

I carefully select my breeders, paying close attention to what they produce. I don't go for numbers, but quality only. There is a process to purchase my cats which involves a two-way Q&A dialogue. Questions are posted on "Available" page. All communications with customers are conducted via emails only. This way all conversations are recorded and can be easily recalled when needed. Please note: I will match my every kitten and cat with its prospective household because not every kitten or cat will be happy just in every household and vice versa. But the customer will make his/her final decision which kitten to purchase.

I produce only the following Traditional Siberian colors: Silver Tabby, Brown Tabby, Torbie/Tortoiseshell, Red Tabby, Solid Black and Black Smoke. Please visit my "Colors We Produce" page for color samples pictures. 

Since the beginning of COVID19 pandemic all allergy tests are performed via mailed-in fur samples(NO CATTERY VISITATIONS unless you are picking up your kitten.) Price for a fur test kit is $30. This fee will apply towards the purchase price of a kitten if the deposit is placed within 14 days from shipping your kit. Each kit contains fur samples from 6-8 of my Siberian cats. This testing method is highly accurate and also convenient, since you can repeat testing as many times as you wish to be confident in the accuracy of your tests. One kit is sufficient to perform cat allergy testing for the entire family. If interested in purchasing one of the test kits, please email me. 

A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to reserve a kitten or to get on my wait list. All my kittens are TICA registered and sold with a spay/neuter contract. Kittens are health guaranteed for 2 years, vaccinated per age and ready to go home at 11-12 weeks of age. These kittens will not be spay/neutered before they go home. I don't believe in pediatric desexing. Exposing kittens at such young age to this invasive medical procedure is absolutely unnecessary, unhealthy and traumatic for the kittens. Each cat buyer is obligated by our Sales contract to spay/neuter their kitten at the age indicated in the contract.
